Advanced Diagnostic Systems

Digital X-rays: We use the highest quality digital x-ray machine available to take diagnostic x-rays. These x-rays are used to develop a specific treatment plan for each patient and to monitor the treatment progress.

Up-to-Date Sterilization Systems

One major concern of our office is the safety of our patients. You can relax knowing that our stringent sterilization techniques and barrier controls are designed to meet and exceed all OSHA and CDC guidelines. We sterilize our instruments between every patient. We also use disposable (single use) items when possible and discard after each use. An independent outside biological monitoring service verifies our sterilization procedures. You can be assured that everything is in our office is clean/sterile.

State-of-the-Art Appliance Systems

In-Ovation Bracket System:  The revolutionary coordinated appliance system is comprised of brackets , archwires and bands as developed by GAC Orthodontics, a leader in orthodontic products. These brackets are self-ligating in nature. Although they do not require o-rings to function properly, colored o-rings can be used if the patient wants to have colors on their braces. This system brings our orthodontic treatment to a new level of clinical performance to help us achieve a more predictable results and an ideal occlusion(bite). We absolutely do not recycle our brackets! The brackets you will get are new, never before used brackets – not brackets that have been used on another patient and then sterilized for re-use.

Clear (ceramic) Braces: The In-Ovation C Ceramic Brackets, developed by GAC, are clear brackets that are virtually invisible for our patients who are concerned about esthetics during their orthodontic care. They do not require the use of clear o-rings like other kinds of ceramic braces do. It is the clear o-rings which become stained between appointments.

Heat Activated Archwires: These wires were developed for the space program but have been very effective for orthodontic use. Heat Activated wires create a continuous light force during orthodontic movement enabling teeth to move faster and more effectively with less discomfort to our patients than stainless steel wires. We cool down the wire when it is put into the braces in order to minimize discomfort. As the patient’s body temperature warms the wire, the wire gradually regains its strength and ability to move the teeth. This results in much greater comfort for our patients. The result is shorter, predictable treatment times and reduced adjustment appointments to achieve our treatment goals.  For those patients who are sensitive to nickel, there are alternative wires that will be used to achieve the same effectiveness.
